Travel service - We offer a travel service - please ensure you contact us with plenty of notice ( at least 6 weeks before you plan to travel to enable us to plan your vaccination/medication requirements).Please note this is not an NHS service and so any vaccinations or medications required will incur a charge. Carers - you are entitled to a health check / review with your GP or Nurse. Please make an appointment at the surgery

Friends & Family test - this is a simple test of our service and provides us with useful feedback as to how we are doing. We would be most grateful if you would complete this short set of questions if you have used our service. Cards are available from reception or your GP/Nurse.

Announcements

As of Monday 16 May 2016 we will be providing a telephone triage system.

This is to enable the practice to provide a more appropriate way of handling requests for same day appointments.

It would be very useful when you contact the surgery if you could give the receptionist brief details of the problem.

When you are phoned back the doctor/receptionist will either:

Deal with the problem over the phone.

Write a prescription for you to collect from the surgery.

Ask you to come down to the surgery to see the doctor or the nurse the same day.

Make a routine appointment for you to see a doctor or nurse

Arrange a home visit.

We have finally merged our practices, systems and contracts with NHS England and are pleased to announce we will now be known as Manor Medical Practice.

Named GP - This year the NHS has launched a new scheme which means that every patient is allocated a particular General Practitioner who will be the one ultimately responsible for ensuring that the care you receive is the most appropriate it can be. Having this allocated GP does not alter the way in which you make your appointments - you can still book appointments with who you want. Every member of staff shares responsibility for the care you receive. Your allocated GP is the same doctor as your registered GP. If you would like to know who your allocated GP is, please contact us.  

CQC - we have recently had our CQC inspection for which we received a Good rating in all areas with outstanding features. The full report will be available via the CQC menu on the right hand side

PPG - we are looking for members to form a new combined Patient Participation Group for our new practice. If you would like to be involved please contact the surgery using the 'sign up for our patient group link' or contact reception . Further information is via the Patient Group link.

Merger of Carton & Phoenix Medical Practices - we are currently negotiating with NHS England to formally merge the two practices. In the meantime the staff of both practices are working as one practice. This has returned the two practices to their original status before they split some 15 years ago. We are extremely excited about this development and feel that this will only improve the service we offer to patients. Clearly with such a significant change there will be some challenges to work through and we appreciate your patience and feedback during this transitional period.
